The sign that greets you as you enter the resort could be dismissed as a piece of shameless self-promotion.
But Torrox can indeed claim to have the best climate in Europe – and have the paperwork to back it up. A study of 21 Mediterranean municipalities, all of whom make a similar statement, has found that the weather of the town cannot be bettered anywhere on the continent.
The report – which was compiled over six years by weather forecast company MeteoGroup – concluded that the geographic location of Torrox resulted in excellent year round temperatures.
With it being open to the sea to the south and surrounded by mountains to the north, the resort’s average annual temperature is 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
Spectacular mountain areas, comprising of terraced hillsides and valleys with orchards of orange, avocado and olive trees and historic Moorish whitewashed villages perched in the hills.

The White Towns' are named for the perpetually whitewashed buildings - topped with tile roofs and decorated with a profusion of potted flowers and wrought-iron grilles - that makes the nearly two dozen villages sparkle in the bright Andalucian light.

Transfers to and from the airport on arrival & departure days at specified times
Accommodation in a beautiful traditional village house in a historic Moorish white village furnished with all modern conveniences (including washing machine, fully equipped kitchen, hair dryer, iron & ironing board). Most of our houses have English TV and/or DVD (please specify your requirements when booking). All linen is provided including towels. Most houses will have 2 people but some can accommodate 3-4. You will share a house but have your own private bedroom & bathroom. And all the houses have beautiful terraces with views over the village, the surrounding countryside or the sea. See photos here.

Medium hike, between 7Km and 13Km, height gain between 900ft and 2000ft 4. Challenging hike, between 15Km andd 21Km, height gain over 2000ft 5. Difficult hike, over 20Km, height gain over 2200ft Please note that sometimes a shorter walk with a lot of height gain will include some steep sections, which may make the hike appear more difficult than a longer hike with gentle inclines.
