Self Guided Walking Vacations
Our Self-Guided walking holidays are ideal for people keen to walk independently, who like to enjoy the real Spain, and prefer to have the organization and research of their walks taken care of, but do not want the chore of repacking and moving on each day. We take the load off your back even before your vacation starts!
In order to assist you to complete the walks you are provided with guide sheets together with explanatory notes, and personal itinerary so that you can follow well defined paths. We always choose interesting walks with lots to see and your guide sheets will draw your attention to the things we don't want you to miss. You will also have the backup of our experienced guides, who will be available in case of need.
Andalucia in the South of Spain is one of the best walking areas in Europe – it simply cannot be rivaled for variety of scenery, climate, spectacular mountains, history, culture and some of the most interesting flora and fauna to be found anywhere in the world.
And if you prefer to intersperse your walking with some cultural visits, why not take one of our optional excursions for example to the beautiful Alhambra at Granada?
We are happy to quote for short breaks or longer holidays upon request.
For all of our self-guided walking accommodation is provided in our beautifully restored village houses.
"We enjoyed being able to walk on good paths in out of the way places at a pace and distance that suited us. For us it was not about the distance traveled, it was the journey itself and we saw some fantastic views, unusual plants and interesting places. The organization was excellent and every care was taken for our safety without spoiling the experience. The picnic lunches were fab! "- Margaret
"We had never been on a walking vacation before and we thoroughly enjoyed the program and would not have changed anything"
"We won' forget the breathtaking scenery with panoramic views over high mountains, lovely valleys and the sea."
"It was an excellent break for people who are not lovers of the beach. Good exercise, good food, good wine - what a vacation should be all about. Obviously, lots of opportunities for relaxing at the end of walks. **** Some wonderful memories, I would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend."- Angela
"First vacation at walking abroad but it will not be the last!"
"...the friendliness of our hosts was outstanding and made our holiday." - Carole & Tony
